Today I wanted to share an 8x8 Layout & Tag that I created using Die Cuts from Gina's Designs. Her large selection of chipboard Die Cuts make it so much fun and easy to put any project together!
This is also an up coming class for March 14th! I am truly excited about this one! I have new ladies joining this class.
There's still room, so if your interested please contact For Keeps Sakes. It is always a fun time when us ladies craft together!
My favorite part of the page I have to say is these beautiful Butterflies from Gina's Butterflies & Dragonflies Chipboard shapes. They truly just make the page!
And her chipboard phrases "Enjoy The Moment" is what started the idea for this layout.
I then added a tag using of course chipboard tags from Gina's Store for just a little something extra.
I enjoy decorating tags so much and Gina's Cardstock Doily Set Intricates, I can never have too many.....for I use them on a lot of my projects. They just go with everything!
The back of the tag I have a simple pocket to place a small note card.

I really enjoyed how the over all look to the layout and tag came out, and I hope you do too.
Thank you for stopping by.
Have a Blessed Day!

She Understood The Need For Change: Altered Canvas

What a lovely morning! I can hardly believe that this month is nearly over! Time flies so quickly especially when its spent working on fun creative projects!
I have today, a altered canvas that I had put together for a friend..she cried when I gave it to her.. not my intent...but I think she liked it just the same.
Gina's Designs carries a wide assortment of Dress Form Shapes and I use them every chance I get! I love, love, love them and will most likely have them in a lot of the projects that I do. They just remind me of a simpler, elegant time. The Victorian Age....its my passion!
I am also a big fan of Julie Nutting's Prima Doll tags and use them a lot too.
I have just this past year gotten into the mix media craze! I have always just simply stayed with my paper projects, working on layouts or cards. I was always afraid....or just not confident enough, to let this side of me show too! Because....all it truly is...is expressing the inner you. I started by applying soft colors of acrylic paint, my favorite sprays....then just kept layering! I have bubble wrap impressions on the background...and one of my favorite touches is an torn piece of pattern paper from my stash that I got last summer at an garage sale. I think it's the perfect touch with Gina's Dress Forms!

For the Dress Form I simply inked it with Black Ink, and then embossed it with Antiquities Rust by Ranger to give it an old metal look. It's a pretty neat effect!
So that's my view on working with Mix Media onto Canvas. I hope you enjoyed taking a look as much as I enjoyed making it.
Thanks for stopping by, and Blessing to you and yours!

Masquerade Ball!

Welcome Friends! I am so pleased to share with you today another lovely project created from Gina's Designs. From her Mask Shapes Set, I just loved decorating one of her Mask Designs. It truly reminded me of an old Masquerade Ball as I was decorating it. I was humming different waltz  tunes in my head the whole time.

A very simple project...all that's needed is lace and feathers!

And pretty flower embellishments and Self-Adhesive Pearls from Prima.
I covered the mask first with some Prima's Lyric Collection paper. Very lovely black lace design.
Added some lace from my collection.....never can have too much lace!
Got a the stick from and old American Flag used for the Fourth of July, and inked it black to create that Victorian era feel for a Masquerade Mask.   Shall we Dance?

Thank you so much for taking a look!
   Blessings to you and Yours!

Fashion Forward Altered Frame

Welcome February! Its hard to believe that the first month of 2014 is now behind us!
Nothing better than marching right into a new month with projects in mind!
And here is another project inspired by Gina's Designs

Today I want to share one of my favorites with you. I actually had my first class ever on this Altered Frame! I titled it Fashion Forward because I felt it showed a look into the future of design. I enjoyed using Gina's Dress Form from one of her Dress Form Shape Sets
Love the hooped skirt Dress Form Shape. Gives the era of the Victorian Age!
A pasted a old torn piece of pattern paper to ad to the over all "Fashion Theme"
Look at the young Fashion Diva!  She's not afraid to go forward! I just enjoyed adding all the embellishments to complete the over all look. Laced ribbon and buttons....makes me want to go to my sewing machine!
Hope you enjoyed looking at my altered frame...this one is truly one of my favorites, and was excited to share!
Blessings to you and you and yours
